  • Wednesday, September 26th OPEN HOUSE! 6-7:30pm is the Open House.  However, starting at 5pm, there will be Food Trucks outside as a time where students and staff and families can mingle. Look for more information from the school regarding the Food Trucks early next week! We would love to show you our classroom and tell you all that we have been working on!

Reminder about Reading Log:

  • Every night students will be expected to read 30 minutes minimum, and then complete a short writing reflection after reading.  Students will fill out the Monday-Thursday responses, have parents sign nightly and then turn it in on Fridays.

Reminder about Current Events:

  • Twice a month, students will be asked to complete a Current Events article for Social Studies.  Students will receive the sheet on Monday, and it will be due on Friday of that week.
  • Current Event Due Dates for Trimester One: 9/21, 10/5, 10/19, 11/2, 11/16, 12/7, 12/21

If your child is Absent:

  • Your child is still expected to read for 30 minutes daily, even when absent from school.
  • Students should also complete the Reading Log for that absent day, so that the log will receive full credit if possible.
  • Please note however, that if your child is out for an extended period of time, or does not receive the Reading log hard copy, due to being absent on a Monday, there can be exceptions to this rule and the child can be excused from the completion of the log on a case by case basis.
