Team 51 Homework

Monday, April 6th
This week we will continue to work on enrichment activities. Technology is being distributed by the district on Friday. If you signed up to receive a chrome book, you should expect to be getting a phone call in the next few days with your scheduled time. We have Zoom meetings based on homeroom this Thursday. Check your emails for your invitation!
Please keep working on reading, on paper or on Epic every day, as well as going on iReady 45 minutes this week. Remember to keep writing in your journals for 10 minutes daily as well. For Literacy, please try to complete at least one assignment from the Skill Review topic on Classroom in addition to those activities. For Social Studies, keep moving through the posted videos and activities attached to them.

Friday, April 3rd
I hope you all had a great week! We are continuing with enrichment next week, as we ensure all students have access to Technology before we begin a new plan. Make sure to check in next week for big announcements! We have scheduled a Zoom with each homeroom for Thursday- please check your student email accounts for the invitation.
You can expect a few more Liberty Kids videos and BrainPops next week. You should keep reading, either a book or on Epic, and go on iReady! For now, you've worked hard, so take the next two days off!

Wednesday, April 1st
Today is the last day to complete the device request form. If you need to borrow a chrome book, please follow this link to complete the survey. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfFTNIQgoeJcgtO6PkKhsP8naWbC3GfiTLo7axWijZWAwO33A/viewform?usp=sf_link

Please continue working your way through the skill review assignments in Literacy, as well as going on iReady and reading. You have been assigned a book on Epic that I love, but I encourage you to read authentic books as well.

In Social Studies, there is another Liberty Kids video posted, as requested, and a Google Doc to accompany it. If the link doesn't work, please send me an email- some students have had trouble, but others have been able to access it.

We will continue to keep you posted as plans develop and emerge in the coming days. Thank you for your patience, hard work, and understanding!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Zoom this morning. It was a bit of a learning curve, but will get easier with time (and a WiFi booster for me!). For those that were unable to attend, do not worry! Today was about practicing and just seeing everyone's faces. We will have more opportunities coming.
Today, try to log in to Epic during school hours and read some of the book assigned to you. Spend some time on iReady, and head over to FreeRice to practice vocabulary.
Aim to finish one Skill Review activity this week!

Friday, March 27th
Just a reminder to everyone, the activities posted on classroom are extensions. You should be moving through them at your pace. Make sure you are completing 40 minutes of iReady a week. You should also be reading the book assigned to you on Epic 20 minutes a day. FreeRice.com will help you with vocabulary practice- try to donate at least 300 grains of rice a day. Finally, don't forget to journal for at least 10 minutes per day. Record your thoughts, feelings, activities, or observations each day.
Have a great weekend, and we hope to see you Monday on Zoom!

This article was shared with me today. It provides links to virtual field trips around the world, and includes activities you can do with your students during the trip. These are optional extension activities, but can be fun if you're looking for something fun to do as a family. https://adventuresinfamilyhood.com/20-virtual-field-trips-to-take-with-your-kids.html
