Cell Analogy Project

Due: Monday 3/30

Cells are the building blocks of living organisms.  These tiny cells can be not only hard to see, but also hard to understand.

One way we can help ourselves and others gain a deeper understanding of what goes on inside a cell is to compare it with familiar objects and places in everyday life.

Your mission is to develop a cell analogy project that will help others become more familiar with cells and their organelles.

This project requires you to compare a cell and its functions with a real-life place or object that describes how the place or object’s components are like those of a cell.

Some possible examples:

  • A Factory

  • A School

  • A Zoo

  • A Car

  • A City

  • Etc.

Be creative with your presentation.  Possible final project ideas:

  • Slide Show

  • Poster

  • Book

  • Video
